the ocean is wet

out in california last weekend visiting pam, elliot had his first taste of the ocean at half moon bay. okay, not literal taste (he would have if we had given him half a chance). but he got to put his toesies in the sand and in the ocean and back in the sand and then back in the ocean and he loved it, hated it, loved it and hated it all in that order. and we loved it all.

the nut goes to church

i don't think church clothes get enough credit. there is nothing cuter than a little boy in a sweater vest, argyle socks and patent leather penny loafers. i was a doubter before but dressing a little boy really is fun. if only he didn't mind the constant outfit changes and understood that penny loafers are for wearing, not for eating.
